If I Write It Down, Will It Come True?

I want to keep myself accountable and I want to put out into the universe what my hopes and intentions are for my life. I've decided to put a list here.

These are my goals for the year:

Lose at least 50 pounds this year.

Read at least 6 new books.

Write a song

Love myself like I love others and treat myself that way

Become more financially independent and plan for future

Grow into a career path I love

Keep me accountable. I know that, so far, there have been plenty of lessons to share and learn from, but I'm also aware that there are plenty more that I still need to learn. If this year has taught me anything, it's that. There will be times when I won't want to admit that I'm failing at one of these goals and that's when I need a gentle reminder that all I need to do is recommit. So, if you're struggling with the guilt or shame of not following through on something you promised yourself you'd do, remember that all you need to do is begin again and recommit. It's that simple.

About

I'm a 28 year old girl who is a christian and an lgbtq ally, I'm a poet and I'm a realist, I'm an organizer and a mess, I'm a social media maven and I'm also an introvert.  I'm a walking contradiction, but I like to think of it as well rounded.  I've suffered from 20 or so years of depression and had more rejection than green lights, but I'm alive and I'm here to tell my story so others can benefit from my lessons.
